HAA Clout - 2002

Five Berkhamsted archers won awards at the Hertfordshire County Clout held at the Berkhamsted Cricket Club on Sunday 13th October.

Shooting at a 12 inch square flag placed at 180yards, Robert Ient scored 179 to become the County Champion in the Gents Compound category.  Paul Dunn scored 176 to take third place in the Gents Recurve category.

Continuing his run of successes, Alan Gasking became first County Boy in the under 12 age category, shooting at a flag placed at 80 yards.

Karen Freeman, in her first year of shooting Longbow, became the County Ladies Longbow Champion.  Shooting at a flag 140 yards away, Karen also took the Most Clouts Trophy, scoring more central hits than any other longbow archer.

At the end of the event, all archers shoot together to represent a volley of arrows as shot at the Battle of Agincourt.  Shooting a single arrow David Lee was closest to the Gents mark and Karen Freeman was closest to the Ladies mark.
