Berkhamsted archers were on the field again this weekend at Cow Roast, this time shooting for the Club Longman Trophies. These trophies are aimed at awarding consistency over the whole year. The two best rounds this year prior to the day are added to the result of the day to determine the best archer in each category. On this occasion Barbara Anscombe and Bob Tucker took the Ladies and Gents Recurve bow awards respectively. While Barbara's husband Barry kept it in the family by winning the Compound category. In the junior category the result was very close with Alan Gasking winning by a narrow margin of only 5 points over his friend Tom Clarke. On the day the club also take the opportunity to recognise the efforts of archers who have yet to qualify for a handicap. On this occasion John Durrant defeated all concerned by a significant margin.
